Home Court Advantage
April Update: Transition To IXL
As we move through the spring semester and into STAAR testing season, we are making an adjustment to our Home Court Advantage practice.
With the RLA STAAR assessment now complete, students will transition from reading homework packets to IXL for their at-home practice. This shift allows for more targeted, individualized support based on each student’s needs.
Math packets will continue to be sent home until the Math STAAR assessment is completed. After testing, math will also transition to IXL for continued practice and support.
What This Means for Your Child

- Both subjects will use IXL moving forward after STAAR testing
Why the Change
IXL allows students to receive immediate feedback, practice at their level, and build skills with greater precision. This helps us better support student growth and ensure every Bulldog continues moving forward.

What is Home Court Advantage?
Home Court Advantage is Stewart Elementary's commitment to partnering with families to accelerate student learning. Research shows that just 15 minutes of focused practice at home each day can significantly impact your child's academic growth.
Your child's teachers have created personalized skill-builder packets tailored specifically to your student's needs. These weekly packets are not generic worksheets—they're targeted practice designed to help your child master the skills they need most based on real data from your students testing outcomes.
Who Participates?
All Stewart Elementary families with students in grades 3-5 are part of Home Court Advantage and packets will be sent home each week on Monday's.
How It Works

2. Practice 15 Minutes Daily
Work through the activities with your child each day. Consistency is key!
3. Watch Them Grow
